the power paradox

Womxn often find themselves dancing on a tightrope between power and fear, a balance woven from the threads of historical repression and cultural norms. To be a powerful womxn brings up all kinds of fears—will our friends be jealous and reject us, will we be too powerful to be desirable to a man or even another woman, what will your family think?

The witch wound—as some would call it, creates fear of being persecuted for embodying our divine feminine power. For centuries, the witchy womxn and healers who dared to use their gifts faced the harsh grip of persecution. The echoes of those times still haunt our hearts, whispering doubts and fears that bubble up whenever we think about stepping into our own power.

This collective trauma, the witch wound, runs deeper than deep, threading its way through generations, leaving us with an instinctual hesitance to claim what is rightfully ours. We've been conditioned to fear rejection, ridicule, and even violence at the hands of those who see our power as a threat. The very act of embracing our strength can trigger a swirl of guilt and anxiety, making it feel like a daunting mountain to climb.

Patriarchy, loves nothing more than to keep feminine energy tucked away, viewing it as a disruptor in its carefully constructed world. The media pits powerful womxn against each other—you’re either a Swiftie or part of the Beyhive, but you’re not supposed to be both.

If powerful womxn empowered other powerful womxn then the patriarchy would fall, and it can’t have that (✨but maybe it needs it✨).

We're raised to be the nurturing, accommodating peacekeepers, leading us to believe that power and assertiveness clash with being desirable or feminine. This creates a delightful little dance we like to call the "power paradox." Our liberating strength is the very thing we've been taught to fear, leaving us in a swirling mix of confusion.

It’s time to reclaim our narratives—time to give the middle finger to the beliefs that have been imposed upon us and start healing those old witch wounds. By embracing our power, we not only honor the fierce spirits of the womxn who came before us, but we also craft a path for future generations to strut their strength without a care in the world.

Rekindling our connection to intuitive wisdom is the first step toward dismantling the barriers of patriarchy. As we acknowledge our fears and confront the historical trauma that shadowed our ancestors, we can finally spark our true power and redefine what it means to be a womxn—radiating in our own vibrant, unapologetic light.

Let’s rise together, fearless and fabulous, ready to shape a new reality where power is celebrated, not shunned! ✨🌙
