Episode 10: The Fall - An Initiation of Old

Surviving a 75-foot rappelling accident, 22 skin grafts, and the death of the maiden

Seven months ago, I fell 75 feet while rappelling in Colorado. My equipment failed. I held onto the rope with both hands, sustaining third-degree burns that required 22 full-thickness skin grafts—11 on each hand.

My partner caught my falling weight from the bottom on fireman's belay. The odds of us both surviving? About 1-2%.

We both walked away alive.

This wasn't just a climbing accident. This was an initiation—a complete death and rebirth held by three goddesses: Isis, Lilith, and Kali.
