Why We’re Saying Goodbye to Meta Platforms 🌿✨

The Goddess Coven is founded on principles of empowerment, inclusivity, and the sacred connection between ourselves, the Earth, and each other. With recent events, including our Facebook account being hacked, we’ve begun to see this as a possible sign—a forewarning from the universe that it’s time to let go of platforms no longer aligned with our values. (UPDATE 1/16/25: we got our Facebook back and it is now down).

Meta’s recent policy changes, including allowing racist, sexist, and homophobic hate speech and refusing to fact-check posts, clash deeply with our mission. These platforms no longer represent the values of truth, equality, and community that we hold dear. As a result, we’ve decided to disconnect from Meta, starting with Facebook and eventually Instagram and Threads, while we work to recover our account and ensure personal information is removed.

Embracing the Age of Aquarius 🌌

The decision to leave Meta is not just about policies—it’s about stepping into a new way of being. The Age of Aquarius, an astrological era, is ushering in a time of collective awakening, innovation, and transformation. This era calls us to break free from outdated structures and systems that perpetuate harm and disconnection, and instead embrace smaller, intentional communities that are built on collaboration, truth, and love.

The Age of Aquarius reminds us that the future lies in authenticity and interconnectedness, where relationships are meaningful and rooted in shared values. Social media giants like Meta feel increasingly out of alignment with this energy, promoting division, misinformation, and harmful content instead of fostering real connection.

Building a New Future 🌿

While we’re leaving Meta behind, we are not disappearing. The Goddess Coven will remain accessible online through our website, YouTube channel, Blue Sky, and Google listings, providing spaces where you can connect with us and our work. Additionally, we’re focusing on cultivating local community and meaningful in-person relationships, creating opportunities for deeper connection and collaboration.

This transition is about aligning with a future that mirrors our values and the energy of the Age of Aquarius. It’s about choosing spaces that nurture empowerment, healing, and transformation while staying connected to the broader witch and spiritual communities.

What’s Next?

For now, we’ll continue engaging with you on Instagram and Threads as we work to officially deactivate our Facebook account and ensure all personal information is removed. Then, we will transition off of those platforms as well. You will be able to follow us on Blue Sky though! We are so grateful for your support as we navigate this transition and look forward to continuing to rise together in a new era of connection.

Let’s step into this Aquarian age with intention, truth, and the shared vision of a better world. 🌙✨
